Has anone ever swapped an entire front clip from a 81-91 vehicle onto a 73-80 vehicle???

How did you deal with the cowl area and hood springs?

Any ideas?

There is a write up on this. The cowl is easy, just remove the extra cowling panel that the pre-81 uses, but the hood hinges that you have to use (81 + ), you'll have to notch the firewall.

get pics, i swapped the other way.the prob i had was the longer wiper arm posts hitting the bottom of the hood. sawsall fixed that though.
