i have a 8.5" front diff on my 87, i recently replaced the fluid with 80/90 and now that i've looked at the manual, i notice they recommend using just 80wt. for my country. does anyone know if they set the clearances different to compensate for the different lube or any other reason to worry about doing this, or should i stop worrying.

My friend, THAT is a good question. That is all.

80/90 will be fine, brother. Every Canadian I know uses that or synthetic 75/140, which costs about 3 times what 80/90 does.

BTW, welcome to CK5!!! :thumb:
