front diff stuck inside pumpkin

another twist on the wrench trick is put a pry bar under the carrier and then use a pipe wrench on the yoke turn pipe wrench and it will usually start to roll out you may need a breaker bar on the pipe wrench and don't expect your pry bar to come out of this straight.

Yea, I thought about that too. The whole thing is on jack stands and I thought I'd try the other way first so it didn't topple down if it was really stuck.

When I need to turn a yoke with a lot of force, I put the u-joint straps back on and slip a pipe through them. Or a prybar, whatever you got.

another trick?

hook a chain to the diff, and the back of another truck... drive away... got the carrier out of my D60 that way...

Case spreaders are about $300-500(can't remember which). We have one at work that looks like its never been used...

He already has the axle out of the truck, though. If he tried that, he'd be dragging the axle down the road. :D

mine was out too :wink1: Basketball poles and a second chain are wonderful :haha:

I could have done it easier, and quicker, but that method was fun. Couple of friends and my mom just shaking their heads at me, haha.
