To get it out of the way, I'm new here(posting) so be gentle... I have the opportunity to get a Dana 60 for the front of my blazer for FREE!:woot:Here's the issue; It's off a '69 1ton and has drums on it. I've searched online for a disc brake conversion, but can't seem to find the right one (8lug):dunno:. Any of y'all done this before? If any of y'all know where I can find a kit, yer my new best friend!

I'm not the authority, but are you sure its a dana 60?

Don't think the 69 1 ton's were stock 4x4? I've never heard any discussion of drum brake 60's.....

A pic is worth a thousand words.

if you get serious about your dana 60, invest the time to study that page. best D60 info on the web.

second.
pretty sure dana 60s didnt come out until the mid 70s...
think you got hoodwinked

Turns out it came off an old military truck and was some sort of special edition. The 60's we know today came after they fixed the week links for in these military closed-knuckle versions... The guy that gave it to me knows more about GM classics and military trucks than anyone I've ever met, so I believe him. At any rate, being a closed-knuckle, it's not gonna work for my application. Thanks for the link, though!
