Ok the problem of the matter is the k10 4x4 i just got has been lifted to Jesus :haha:and never installed the front drive shaft:doah: was told the suspension lift was 8" :eek1:but im not sure the axle to frame measurement is 16.50"(top of axle tube to bottom of frame rail front and rear). The problem i see so far is the shaft is going to hit the trans crossmember that runs under the t-case and axle input angle is way off any help is greatly appreciated. Also that bing said should i be looking for issues on the rear drive(was drove this way with 40's before i got it)?

Thanks,
Daryl

Im not an expert on this but the shaft should look like this one and should not hit the crossmember.Itl bind up before that happens I think.Ive got a 6in lift and the angle is not bad.8in will increes it but I would atleast try to install one to see what it looks like and go from there.

well if that be the case the wronge brace is installed on the truck for the trans guess ill start looking for the proper one also if it matters the trans isn't original to the truck idther

Ive got a 84 with a drivetrain from a 87 and swaped the crosmember over also because they were differant.Originaly had a 205 and installed a 208.

thanks for the help the one under mine now is flat all the way cross ill look for the one like yours with the drop for shaft clearance and did you have to shim front axle?
