hey guys , i've got a 1979 gmc jimmy with fulltime 4 wheel drive, i am wondering if i could take my short front drive shaft off and have myself 2 wheel drive????? has anyone done this befors, i don't want to screw up my transfer case at all. HELP!!!!:(

If you remove the shaft you'll have to run the t-case in the "Loc" position or it will act like it's in neutral.

Edit: assuming the 203 is still truely full time and never had a part time kit installed.

No unless you drive around in Hi-Loc. The 203 will send the power to the wheels with the least resistance. If you remove the driveshaft or install manual hubs with out a part time kit it wont move.

I forgot about that.
