front drive shaft

I shook it today and there is movment back and forth where the slip yoke is i think its called, should it be able to move back and forth there? I could hear one end of the drive shaft clank against the inside of the other?

There should be a grease nipple on it. The slip fit is lubricated with grease, sounds like yours is lacking alittle.
