***SOLD***Decided to put a new shaft on my crewcab that better fits what I need. This shaft was built for 52" springs and a lot of droop. Also had this built when I had less lift and front axle moved further forward.
Shaft was built by High Angle Driveline in 2008. 1410 joints at each end with flange for NP241. This was used on my K5 which I trailered so it probably has just a few 1000 miles in the truck and less than that with the front axle engaged.
Advertised angle limit is about 38°. As an example, here is the shaft with the axle end 8" lower than the yoke.
Angle finder is reading 32° and not binding.
Also including Dana 60 1410 pinion yoke.
There are some spots where the yoke rubbed on the crossmember I fab'd for the crewcab. Nothing that effects strength.
In the image above the top arrow indicates where I had to grind a little off to get the bolt out. The 1410 yoke is so large there is just enough room to clear the bolt heads for the flange bolts. Figured I would help the next owner with that little spot.
Not obvious in the pictures, but the rubber boot is torn.
As you can see in the pictures this shaft is used but not abused.
30" collapsed
40.5" extended
Flange fits NP241. Maybe NP208 also, but I'm not certain about that.
I've run this shaft at around 30-35mph. It's smooth under power but it does have floating vibration meaning it will growl a little when coasting. But it was nothing alarming.
New the shaft was $390. New with u-bolts, the yoke runs $85. I would like SOLD (was $250 shipped to the lower 48).
