I modded the stock crossmember to work with my doubler but am a little worried about the driveshaft hitting it on droop. Near as I can measure I have 1.25" before it hits Do you think I need to mod the x member more or am I alright

Here is a crappy pic of the clearance

I am running 56" springs up front with the bumpstops about 1.5" off the spring

Lift the front of the truck up until you max droop and see how close it gets. I left 3" clearence on mine with no problems.

Since the shaft is on an angle, the amount of droop at the wheels will be a lot more than 1.25" before the shaft hits the crossmember. It's probably just fine, but like suggested, lift up the truck and find out if it's a problem.

Thats a lot more room than my driveshaft has without a doubler :doah: I had to cut out some of the channel in my crossmember .

thanks guys as it turned out it cleared just fine. Didn't even come close, now if I just would have remembered to make double sure the driveshaft bolts were tight

Broke one of the bolt holes in the cv part right off ran all weekend with three bolts holding the driveshaft on :eek1:
