Front driveshaft CV joint

I am in the process of rebuilding my front driveshaft. All the u-joints are now out and I am trying to get that stupid steel ball off the shaft in the CV joint. What is the easiest way to get it off?

buildin a 400 for it, any info greatly appreciated

I think it needs to be pressed on and off.
