Front driveshaft length

When I pulled the front driveshaft out of my 81 K10, it only had about 1/2in of compression. Barely enough to get it out of the front axle yoke. I would assume it needs more than that. Maybe this driveshaft came from a 700r4 208 combo? Anyone know the correct length for a th350 np208 front driveshaft?

i have what i belive to be a stock shaft at the house for a 305/ TH350 ill mesure when i get home

I measured with the CV flange flat on the ground to the end of the yoke ear compressed 31 3/4 extended 35 inches

On a 82 blazer I think it has a 4 inch but I don't know what the previous owners did to it but considering it they where to cheep for matching shocks or extended brake lines the shaft is probably stock

Thanks, I measured mine and it is about 33in compressed. I think I need to find a shorter driveshaft.
