front driveshaft measurement

I am going to build my front driveshaft and I am wondering how much travel it needs before bottoming out. It is a stock front cv driveshaft in my blazer so I am replacing the tubing so its longer for my doubler. I am just needing to know where to center thd splines at for the proper amount of travel.
