front driveshaft question,for 6\" or 8\" lifts

with a 6" or 8" suspension lift would the front drivshaft bind? its a cv type stock front shaft.this is also on a long wheelbase chevy pickup /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Re: front driveshaft question, for 6\" or 8\" lifts

I've got a 6 inch lift and it was hitting the tcase crossmember. A 1 in spacer took care of that, other wise no problems.

Mine binds at the pinion when the u-bolt straps are cranked down. I originally thought it was binding at the CV but after playing around I figured out the pinion needs to be shimmed. Mine is a 1310 High angle and I have 7" of lift in the front.

I have 6" TuffCountry springs upfront and the cv binds only at fulldroop
