im sure its been asked a million times but im askin it again. i need a new front driveshaft and i wanna know if there is a good junkyard shaft to start with then have it chopped to length?

just measure yours and go to the yards. I want to say the 79 k20 with a 400/203 has a pretty long front shaft that would be good for cutting down... Otherwise just get any shaft and bring it to your bench and weld...or take it to a driveshaft shop and have them cut and retube...

yea i got the junkyard part down and i got a rear shaft out of my 76 i could cut down. guess i shoulda asked my question better is there a vehicle that possesses a superior shaft with strong joints and capable of higher angles that i could shorten or retube
