I need a front drive shaft. I am on a tight budget. If i get my stock drive line lengthened 4 inches (i think that's how much 56's move the front axle) think I will be good or will my suspension pull it out? square front drive shaft seems to be the thing to do awhile back but it is less popular nowadays.

Do a search for square driveshaft. Uses your existing yokes, cheap, and very strong. I have had one for about a year and had no problems.

thats what I am going to run. most people run 2 inch and 2 and 1/2 .25 wall? Can I use my existing cv t-case yoke on my shaft? If i change to 1350 where can I order the weld yokes? can i get a 1350 in 10 spline? and can I remove the cv part of the driveline and use the u bolt type retainers?

I run 2" and 2.5" .25 wall for my front shaft. I pulled an axle shaft out of a ford ttb50 cut them down used those for cheap 1350 yokes. You cant get a 1350 10 spline yoke but if you have a np205 you can swap in a ford 32 spline 205 front output. There is some good stuff in this thread http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=240263

I ran square, if you don't mind a little extra work just use 2" .250 wall and 1.5 .188 wall stuff its not seamless so you will have to grind a line into the smaller one to make up for the weld seam.

Anyone run 2.5 3/16's wall I am having a hard time locating .25 wall.
