Front end conversions????1980-1984

Anybody every try and bolt on the newer style fenders and hood onto the 1980 and earlyer cabs?

What did you do about the different hood hinges?

My 1980 was in a crash last night and I have alot of the newer parts and not so many of the older style parts. It would save some $$$ if I could just get two new fenders and reuse the core support and hood that I have. Pics would also be good if you have any.
