I just put 33’s on my 85 K5 with stock suspension and now I notice that the passenger side is setback about 1-1/2” further than the drivers side. I’ve gotten under the truck and cannot figure out what is causing one side to be setback from the other. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Leaf spring center pin broken? If it’s not the center pin then I’d start checking all the spring bushings.

After that, I’d look at the body’s position on the frame (there’s a little wiggle room in the body mounts) or take a tape measure and check the frame for being square.

Ok thanks for the input. I’m gonna start gathering some measurements and see what I can come up with. Just wanted to make sure there wasn’t some adjustment that was out. I didn’t see anything adjustable, so I’m worried I may have something serious going on. This thing isn’t road worthy, but I’m trying to get it to where it is. It handles terrible, but I’ve always assumed that was due to the sloppy suspension steering. I see bushings that are dry rotted but nothing is missing.

Using frame measuring sticks, or a tape measure, measure the wheel base, comparing the left side vs. the right side.

Look for bushings where the through bolt is no longer centered.

Look at the top of the leaf spring next to the ubolt plate (front and back), look for wear marks where the axle has moved.

I just wanted to respond back and update that I haven’t found anything definitive. I have confirmed that the Frame is not bent. I’m gonna drop the springs and pull the front end for a 2” lift so maybe something will be more obvious when I do that.

The leaf spring center pin was my first thought as well however I would measure from a common point on the frame (i.e. front spring hanger) to the wheel opening to confirm it's not the body.

It should be easy to measure along the springs to the u-bolt plates to confirm they're both in the same spot. Both should be centered along the spring (assuming stock springs or typical lift kit).

A snapped centering pin is not something you will be able to see, until you remove the front leaf springs from the u-bolts.
