front ends

I'm wondering which "newer" style front ends you guys prefer. I can get either the early 80's or the 89-91 front end. I'm not sure but some persuasive posts can help.

i like the 89-91 front,i have been thinking of doing the same.

i say keep the 78 front end.
I don t like the 89-91 fnt ends and the early 80's rn't too good either.

I've got a '74 front grill....don't care much for it. I'm changing to '85 or so style. I like the '89-'91 style, but I can't iind any cheap enuff for me. My vote, go for the '91 if you can swing it.

I too like the 91 style and just look in salvage yards. I saw a couple of trucks (wrecked) and if I take some off each one I can get the whole thing minus the plastic grill (hard to find one intact) I can get everything for under $300 with wiring lights, etc. Just ask around b/c the man said I'd have to hunt and take everything off myself and he'd hook me up. Some places see a truck and if one fender is smashed the "clip" isn't really salvageable. So I'll mix and match till I get it.
