I need to replace the exhaust system on my 1988 Chevy V-10 Suburban. I bought the hi-flo cat back exhaust & hi-flo cat from JC Whitney. Now I need the front pipe. My official parts manual shows only one front pipe for all Suburbans. But, I've seen web sites that list different pipe sizes. My new pipes are 3" pipes. The old pipes are 2 1/2" pipes. I need a front pipe with 3" connection to fit the new pipes. I checked the Parts Train web site. They make it tricky, requiring you to know the engine size, model and wheel base. My burb has the 129.5" wheel base. There are several listed showing 3" pipes, but with the wrong wheel base. Can any one simplify this choice for me. Can I get a front pipe with 3" output. Thanks.

Thanks for the reply, Gus. No, not the manifold, but the front pipe that connects to the manifold. My old front pipe fed into a 2 1/2" exhaust. I need it to feed into 3" pipes now that I have the hi-flo exhaust that I mentioned. Any advice would be appreciated. A part number would be even better. Thanks.

Thanks for the response. My '88 V-10 is a 1/2 ton, while yours is a 3/4 ton. I believe the '87-'91 models are similar, but I'm not sure if there is a difference between the 1/2 and 3/4 ton models.
