I've been researching front hitches for my K5. I found the Warn 25855, but it looks like it will only work for 87 - 91.

It will work on yours. Technically 69-87 Blazers are K5's and 88-91 are V5's. A lot of parts catalogs show them this way and sometimes the 87 get's lumped into the 88-91 category. Just remember in reality it's only a slight name change, other than that they are the same.

blazenoffroad makes a great one...only catch is it comes w/a bumper attatched to it, lol

I took a look under the front end of my truck and I don't see anywhere it can be bolted on to. The front spring perches are in the way.

The 88-91 blazers are actually V10's. Some people get confused when you say you have a V10 blazer because they think you have a V/10 engine.

I think Northern Tool sells some front reciever hitches, not sure if they list any for a K5 though,of your vintage..

IIRC Chevy started the 1500/2500/3500 in these years, GMC having done so earlier.

I'm just tired of "R/V" trucks getting confused with RV's :D

I built one. Used an old one from the back of a Suburban. Narrowed it. Made plates for inside the frame. Drilled out the lower 2 spring/body mount rivets and put grade 8 bolt in. Also used the 3 bumper mount holes. Cut square hole in stock bumper. Mounted the license plate on a receiver for when the winch is mounted on the trailer.
