lake elsinore California.
okay. over the weekend. my buddy. took his truck out. and Grenaded the front hubs and the housing?

I have looked and looked I dont know what the "housing" is called. or where I can get it from. the hubs arent an issue. Its the cast piece that we need. But I have no clue where to get one

its a 75 k20 3/4 ton factory setup diffs.

Pix would be nice. We assume you're talking about a Dana 44, should be the smaller "internal" hub type. Parts will likely come from the junkyard, not bought new.

You could be talking about the wheel hub, that the rotor is pressed onto with the wheel studs, that the wheel bearings go onto and slides onto the spindle. #52 in the second pic (which is not obviously GM, but the outers are similar.)

Unless you're talking about the center pumpkin, differential housing, which, umm, would be hard to break, and means replacing the entire axle.

i cant get pix right now. im not around the truck.
But the part I am talking about, has 6 bolts holding it onto the front axle.
its the part that holds the locking hubs in. well I think anyway.

but of course.. 4x4. and it has lockin hubs instead of just the wheel bearing

the 6 bolts. not the wheel studs.

Huh. To the junkyard, then, or find somebody selling a set of said hubs. (Oblique blurb there for being a full member here :D )

Were it me, I'd consider scrounging a complete later axle, or at least swapping outers to the later style. That's assuming they're interchangeable and I suspect you'd need to swap everything from the spindles out.
