Just got done installing new bearings, and seals on both sides of the front of the dana 60. Also replaced everything in the knuckles except the king pins themselves beacuase they were in good shape. Installed the ORD crossover steering. Took it out for a spin and got a god awful metal on metal sound.

Any idea where I might have went wrong. The only thing that was different was the plastic shim that comes in the SBK3 spindle kits were placed during the job. These were not there when I took it apart.

Thanks for any answers.

Did ya install the snap rings on the stub shafts? they say ya don't need um, but I would think it would stop it from rubbing.

Kinda looks like the shaft is wobbling, maybe even sagging down in the picture? Is the inner spindle bearing in place and in decent condition?

Put all four corners on jack stands and VERY carefully start it and put it in gear and figure out where the noise is coming from.
