I started out with 5 leaf 8" BDS springs. I pulled the bottom 2 from the pack. That resulted in a touch over 3" of drop. They ride really smooth and my shocks are setup with 5" of up travel, sometimes they bottom out and the truck sways a little bit like a lifted jeep (slinky). I'm thinking I would like to put 1 leaf back in just to stiffen it up a tiny bit and maybe get truck sitting 1" higher hopefully no more than that. I don't have the exact measurements right now but for conversation sake let's say the bottom leaf I took out was 10" long and the second leaf was 14". Which one of the 2 is going to have the least effect on height and spring rate if I put it back in?

Is there some sort of theory behind that? Not doubting it just don't know. In theory though the longer leaf should be more flexible just based on leverage should it not?

Shorter would be about the same as doing an ez inch or zero rate from ORD, or DIY4x.

yup.. longer one is increasing the spring rate as it's supporting the other leaves further out...
