So the dana 60 is swapped in, with the 52's and zero rates and 7 inch shackle. Used all kert's stuff ( it rocks)

Axle is 3 inches forward from stock.

I'm lookin at the pinion angle and wondering what to do for a front driveshaft...
I can make one using square tube, or call HAD...

But something has to be done about the pinion angle. It almost looks like it is pointed straight back, meaning level...
If i run a cv up front, doesnt eth pinion need to be pointed up to the transfer case, like my rear axle is???

If i run 1410's on both ends, the angles just need to match right?

Edit -
I did some searching on "front pinion angle" and found that everyone said start at 2 degrees and go up from there...
Problem is I dont have a front shaft i'm gonna run yet...

And what about teh dana 60 pass side spring plate.. If i shim it, the two bolts will bind...

Can i shim the front up some?
If i do shim it up, teh case and pinion angles wont match... and it wont be enought to properly run a cv...

What's everyone else doing?

Is this a street driven rig and are you running drive flanges in the front?

You're thinking about a high dollar cv from HAD or a square shaft?

If you shim the front axle you will have to put an identical shim facing the opposite way on top of the spring pack (because Chevy 60's have the studs instead of u-bolts on the passenger side).

Yeah i saw that in the searches... about the shim on the top...

I gues i just need to get a shaft and see what happens...

A HAD shaft is about 500 bucks.... yes it's pricey...

I'll run 35 spline premium hubs up front as it will be driven to/from the trail for a while.

If you're running lockouts you can use a square front shaft or a shaft with just one 1410 joint at each end. No need for a high dollar cv, that shafts won't be spinning at high speeds anyway (since your hubs will be unlocked on the street).

As for the hubs, the 35 spline Warns are pretty weak. There is a company that makes much stronger ones (teraflex maybe?).

Your right..
I'll probably just end up doing the square tube one... my 205 isnt setup for it though.. it has the flat mounting surface on the front output...

Call Jess at High Angle, he can hook you up with a 1410 yoke for your 205 for 89 plus shipping, but i think you need the 32 spline output for the 205.

Heres a link http://www.highangledriveline.com/yokes.html

I cant remember the size of the studs off hand for a chevy 60. But i guessed at 3/8s just to get ya a part #. Part # 91944A030

If you go under fasteners, click shims, washers, spherical, and then the set, you can look at all the sizes and prices.

oh, also to run 1410 on the front of a 205 you need to replace the output shaft with a 32spline output. Ive got all the parts here in my room. You can either buy a new one from www.northwestfab.com or do like i did and find a used one. Im gonna go through HAD to get the shaft yokes to weld onto my square shaft. Ill have 1410 at both the axle and tcase.
