i know what my vibe was from [in 4 wheel] i recently did the front ujoint and used auto store bought ,straps for the cups -they werent an exact fit.i cranked em down without a second thought.now i put way too much pressure on the cups ,hence my vibe --my q to you guys-Do you think i can just back the bolt tention off or did i ruin the needle bearings???

take it apart its not like its that hard or time consuming then you can check the needle bearings out might have a bent one.
I don't think you can squish that cup to make that problem, the cup would break before it bends.
The Ujoint might be dry though or worse, rusted.
Check to see that the Ujoints are free to move, if not then change them.
And get the right straps for the yoke you have.

One way to loosen the cups up is bang on the yoke ears on each side right next to the driveshaft, most of the time it helps looses it up to turn easier
