well boy and girls . i had a few mintutes last sunday morning 10-11-09. while doing a few house chores i had the tv on was on spike tv then extreme 4x4 come on. they were showing the jeep they were building they used a 14 bolt ff for the front end. pretty cool i have read about this before . since i do have an extra d60 and 3 extrs 14bff i figured why not try this pretty cool front end . so has any one every heard of this before and know wre one might get info on just how it can be done ?

Don't waste the 60. Buy individual parts separately. Check eBay for stuff like the knuckles, C's, spindles, rotors/hubs, etc. Or buy Dedenbear parts for bulletproofness. Just don't cut up and waste the 60.

well never really thought of flea-bay to buy the ends c's, knuckles, axles and the rest of stuff

Keep in mind that for the cost of building a steering 14bff, you can fully rebuild and upgrade a D60 for less cost. They did it strictly as an example of being unique, but admitted in the piece that it was not economical or really a good option.

Crawl Magazine (Issue 18) itemized the costs of that front 14BFF build:

$3920.00

NOT including a front locker! :yikes:

Unique, and fun to do on a TV show but I doubt it's going to be seen much in the real world...

A guy on here built a custom one. No real point, just wanted to be unique. Plus, the 14bolt pumpkin is an anchor.

Build the 60 unless you have an unlimited budget or want a tv show.
