OK, I talked to Kert at DIY about a year ago and got an answer that was somewhat confusing so I will ask you here from the safety of my keyboard.:D

Kert mentioned the rear spring/shackle hanger for the front leaves will not work in the stock location and that your would have to use the FGB52 and move that rear shackle hanger back. All I want to do is replace the shackle hanger to a beefier product. Why can't you use his product as a replacement for stock?

Here is what I refer to.

I just used the ORD ones and I just had to drill new holes and use the die grinder a wee bit to enlarge the big hole ,but all in the stock location.Just be careful the fuel and brake lines run right there also.

Isn't is a 7/16 bolt in the frame eye? I also believe that when you are using longer springs like 52s that you need to move the hanger. I think if you are using the stock length spring you will be ok. I know on some of the aftermarket bushings you can take out the center sleeve and just use a larger bolt. I think you can use a 5/8 bolt when you take out the sleeve. That is a quick way to beef up the hanger without having to change the whole assembly. The guys at Energy Suspension say that not using the sleeve does not compromise the bushing.

I think you are right on the 7/16". My current hangers are sorta fine except they need new bushings in them and since I will be getting new, stock length lift springs I think I just might as well replace the mounts and get new HD shackles too since the price is not to bad and everything will be apart. Just wanna make sure I can use DIY hanger/mount in the stock location.

i have th fgb52's on mine but didn't replace the rear hanger yet. it looks like it'll fit with just a little modification. i plan on getting themin in a week or so, ill let ya know how it goes
