I have run of the mill lift springs as we speak and want to do something to help them out. I have heard that if I move my rear shackle hanger (on the front axle of the truck) forward it will help.

My question is what will I gain from doing this? Also what size shackle will I need to use if I do this? Lastly are there any write ups on this?

Thanks

Clint

it very simple to do. you can look up the 52" spring swaps if you need any info. you'll probably use a 7" shackle, or make it long enough to not contact the frame.

you will gain droop, and may even need crossover steering. i have never done it on stock length springs, just with 52's.
