Any one make there own? How did they work? Do you have any drawings and measurements that you did? I wawnt to make some heavy duty ones....

Just buy those from ORD. Those are about as bulletproof as you can get.
 
I don't want to sound like an arse, but can you feel a difference with the ORD shackles? on and off road?

I made some after breaking three of my originals. I used 3/8" plate, I think 1-1/4" wide (not positive). I made them 1/2" longer than stock, for a 1/4" lift. After cutting the four pieces of metal, I tack welded them together at the ends and drilled the holes through them. I then cut and ground them to shape, grinding off the welds last. I also went up one bolt size (I think they are 1/2" now). They've been on for a year or two and seem to work fine.

Sorry, I don't have a digital camera. They are basically just a flat piece of metal with a hole in each end, and a full radius on the ends.
