Hey Guys is there a problem adding shims to the front end. I need to add about 2 degrees maybe 4 degrees to compensate for the extra length in shackles. 2 or 4 degrees will bring the pinion angle back to where it was.....

Regards Dan

no issues wiht that at all on a 10 Bolt. On a chevy D-60 it can get a little tricky around and above 4deg. You need 3 shims for that. I or someone can explain if you have a D-60

Thank You for the Info

I thank you for the fast responce....Its amazing I also belong to a Canadian Site and I have not yet receive or gotten any information as fast or as accurate as I am getting on CK5.

This is a 10 Bolt that I will be shimming and again Thank You.

Regards Dan

just make sure the spring pin passes fully through the shim and engages the perch completely on the other side

I'm curious how you do it with a D60 and the three shims.

Thanks,

Eric M.

I think two would mount between the spring pads and springs and one between the spring and spring plate on the passenger side (so the nuts mount flush to the spring plate).
