front spring swap question

if i recall reading other places cant we use or springs in a 70-80's dodge truck ?

friend is looking to lift his dodge 93 last year old body and its got a 5.9 cummins in it and he wants a beefy spring for the weight and also to lift it. but most lift sites say not for cummins equiped trucks.

took a tape measure today and looks like 47"-47.5" eye to eye on the springs . so why couldnt we bolt them in ?

if anyone knows for sure that would be super. thanks.

I remember reading that they were the same length but the spring eye on the rear of the spring is on the bottom of the spring instead of the the top side like the chevy springs are.

I dont see why it would cause any problems though
