Front springs question

First I own a 88 k5 350 with 400turbo 208 t-case. Now parts I have is a 6 in lift from my 71 truck a sm465 a 205 and a 203 a d44 and a 14bolt ff.I was told that my front springs wont work on my blazer. Why. I was sure that they measured the same spring eye to spring eye but I measured them almost six months ago so I dont remember. I am sure that the 71 lift springs measured 52 in. Am I missing something?

Are they to wide maybe?

IIRC the 1st gen srpings are 42" and the 2nd gens are 47" on the front springs.
