OK, I'm about to do this too, and it doesn't get more rookie than me. So explain yourself! What can I expect when that grinder meets the metal??

SPARKS!!!
he he he, yeah im a jacka$$....
UT to be honest i will help you out.
maybe it is more of an arizona thing, BUT once you start to remove metal, by any method, die cutter die grinder, shears, torch, sawzall(my fav!!!) or by biting it, kicking it and yelling at it, IT GETS ADDICTING. so... get a game plan. measure it 3 times, check it twice and cut it untill you are happy....
ill tell ya now, go slow, and take your time. cut just before your line. you can ALWAYS go back and take more off, it is hard to add more, but can be done.
NOW, unless ya want to look like me, marv, russ and brian, all guys in AZ on this site will very little metal left, do as i sugested. but if you are happy with powertools in your hand and that much less weigh on your truck, MOVE TO AZ AN JOIN THE CLUB!
if you need any help ask around, ill be more than glad to help. ya just got to drive out here.
