Just ordered a replacement front wheel well from LMC. Anyone have any experience in swapping these out? How difficult, fitment issues?

Thanks

Wheel well

Yeah about a year ago i replaced my front passanger wheel well out of my K5. I used parts from Mill supply ://www.rustrepair.com/ they were pretty cheap BUT they did not fit exactly. No drill holes for the battery tray or coolant tank. It did fit in the old spot pretty good though. It took me about three hours to pull the rusted old one out and replace with the new one. Mostly because I'm a novice. Just take your time and keep track of all of your screws and parts. I removed and replaced the well without taking off the tires. Good luck.

I did both of mine a few weeks ago. Very easy swap.

The inner fenders are fairly flexible. I would suggest getting new E clips and screws to attach the inner fender to the adjoining sheet metal. I would also have a friend help you pull and tug to reallign the new to the old. With a little persuasion everything will line up.
