would a 10blt front center tie rod work on a d44? /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

going from the 10b to the D44 is just a matter of putting on top isn't it? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Hmmm...actually (if I remember correctly), the tie-rod was underneath the knuckle on both axles. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

From what I've seen over about a half dozen d44 and 10bolt axles, is that flat top knuckle years had the tie-rod on top, and non-flattop years had the tie-rod below the knuckles.

My 10bolts are on the bottom and the D44 I have is on top...

Yesterday I put a '84 10B Center tie rod on '76 D44, I bouht new tie-rods ('84) for both sides, They both have bottom hung tierods... it is also an 1/8 larger in diameter /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif
BTW the draglinks also interchange (did that too)

Yes they should only difference being flattops mount from the top and all others are bottom mount. may have to adjust the length a bit but they should still fit.

I though that the top mount d44 tie rod ends are dropped down to clear the leaf spring, whereas bottom mount d44 and 10 bolts have straight tie rod ends /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Ahh yeah I forgot about that. I have 0-rates so I run regular TRE's on a top mount /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif
