To say the installation instructions are lacking would be quite the understatement. A few key notes would help a ton. Also, Ive searched here and the rest of the internet and cant find a single install writeup for a Blazer which is quite surprising. Guess Ill have to make my own.
  • There are 3 different length bolts supplied but there is no explanation where each is supposed to go. I found one mention of the super long bolts being used for the front mounts. Not 100% sure about that though.
  • The lift pucks dont fit over the studs that come down from the inside of the forward cargo area. This leads me to believe that the studs need to be removed but there is no mention of this. There is a note about needing to pull up the carpet but thats it. Does the stud have a hex head on top so it can be removed with a wrench? Or is it welded in place and needs to be drilled/cut out? Which length bolt is used for the 4 mounts in the cargo area?
  • Are the lift pucks supposed to go against the body? Or in between the frame and rubber bushing? Im guessing against the body because some of the bushings have sleeved washers that wouldnt sit pretty with the puck below.
  • There is mention of carriage bolts and captured nuts. Where are they? What needs to be done with them?
Thats all I can think of at the moment, any help or a link to a video/writeup of a Blazer specific install would be appreciated.

real simple . 1" longer bolt replaces bolt you took out .

the cargo area bolts are tack welded from gm to the floor ( i found this out also ) then swap them also .

rubber or poly mount stays on frame and spacer fits on top and body sets on it .

anymore just ask us thats why you joined this great group of members .

I see what you are saying, replace the bolt you remove with one that is 1" longer. It would just be nice to have instructions laid out in such a way that you can prepare to do the job and complete it without having to take apart a puzzle and redo it. Such as "there are 4 studs in the cargo area that are tack welded in place, these will need to be removed and replaced with the provided bolts that are 1" longer. Some people like to read the instructions and make a mental plan for the task before getting halfway into the task and not understanding why there was no mention of having to cut out bolts and replace them. In fact, the instructions specifically mention not using an impact to remove the bolts so that you don't accidentally remove the tack welded carriage bolts or captured nuts, but then they fail to mention that you need to cut out those bolts anyway. The instructions are poorly worded and much too concise.
