1/2 ton status
I'm selling my truck to fund the full size that I'm building. It's a 1987 Mazda B2600 4x4; it has 4.10 gears, open differentials and the Mitsu 2.6L 4-cylinder. The head was rebuilt at about 55k miles by the previous owner and it was shaved .010 at that time. It has a new water pump on it, put on at about 102k miles. That's the only failure that I've had out of the truck since I got it with 66k miles on it. It has 105k miles on it now.
It's sits now mostly because I don't have plates on it, it doesn't get the best mileage. With the carb setup, it'll only get about 14-16mpg depending on how you drive it. Even with heavy 35" Thornbirds, it still got 11mpg. The truck is a real trooper and makes alot of power with the setup that's on it. The water temp sensor went out, so I put in a 3-pack of gauges inside. It also JUST has a tune up (cap, rotor, plugs and wires)... less than 5 miles on it.
Parts that are on the truck...
Weber 38 DGES kit
MSD Blaster coil
Pacesetter 4-1 header
Borla XR-1 muffler (w/ a turndown)
Chevy Z-71 16" aluminum wheels
245/75R16 Goodyear MTR tires (at least 50% tread left)
Roll bar
Receiver and hitch (2" ball)
Autometer Monster Tach
CD player installed
3" body lift
Has brand new TRE's, inner and outer... less than 5 miles on them
Problems...
Shift boot is torn up badly
There's a troublesome oil leak that I haven't found somewhere on the front of the engine. It'll spot up your driveway, loses about 1 qt every 1000 miles.
Clutch is showing signs of wear, but still drives and hauls well.
Bed has alot of rust in it
Tailgate handle is broken (common problem in these trucks)
Front fender and bumper has been trimmed
I'm waiting on a replacement title from Missouri (lost the original when I moved)
This is a great truck that has never let me down. I've done just about everything with it. Some people even laughed that a compact truck couldn't do what they wouldn't attempt w/ a fullsize... and it did. The ONLY reason I'm selling this truck is that I'm trying to fund my custom off-road truck project.
I have several pictures available, but for some reason I can't get them to upload. They're available for e-mail, if you want to see them or can post them up, give me your e-mail. Asking $2500 OBO... VERY open to offers! I'm not looking for anything else in trade other than a late 60's to early 70's 2 door Mopar A-body.
