Custom American Racing Teflon Coated Atlas Polished Wheels

These wheels are brand new still in their original packaging and have never been used. Their packages have only been opened to take these photos. These wheels were custom made by American Racing for Team Caltech to be used on their 2004 Race Vehicle, Bob, for the 2004 DARPA Grand Challenge. These wheels arrived at Team Caltech's headquarters one day before the 2004 National Qualifying Event. In the midst of a mad dash to get the vehicle ready for the next day's testing, the team ran out of time to install the wheels and never found any more time until the competition was over.
The wheels are located in Pasadena, CA on Caltech campus. Manufacturer's specifications for normal, non-teflon coated Atlas Polished wheels can be seen here.
The price is $450 for each set or $800 for both.
