Anyone here running a fuel cell behind the back seat, and using the stock fuel filler location?

I'm a total noob when it comes to fuel cells, so I need your guys' help. I'm thinking about going with this...

http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/15345/10002/-1

I'd cut a couple holes in the floor for the fuel lines, and then, im thinking about using this: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/JZP-300-000-20/?image=large In combination with this. http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stor...tId=747214&itemId=45992&langId=-1&showValue=1

IIRC, the fuel filler is about 14 inches high from the floor in my k5, However, I'm having a hard time figuring this out. That last link, does that have a diaphragm or something inside of it that you have to penetrate to put gas into it? Am I overlooking anything? Thanks guys!

Yep.

Custom built fuel cell w/in tank pump for the TBI, holds 18 gallons and only drops 3.5"s off the frame rails compared to the stock tank that drops 7.5"s.

Flush mount fuel door is from a Furd Ranger pick up truck, modified the stock filler to work.

very nice work VT, I've always admired it. I'm wanting it to look factory on the outside though.
Got any pics of how you did the filler tube underneath the floor?

Went out and took a few pics for ya.

Filler neck on the fuel cell is in the stock gas tank location, made it a pretty easy swap from there.

Fill tube & vent, that's all I needed to run.

Didn't re-use any of the old factory fuel line either, just ran the two needed for the TBI.

Awesome, have you had any problems filling it? Are those rubber hoses pre bent?

Fills decent, IIRC it has a spring running through the middle of it or it might even be a radiator hose, ...been awhile. :dunno:
