Anyone else having trouble with the foam coming apart in their Summit Racing fuel cells? Or any fuel cells for that matter. I'm curious if all the ethenol is whats causing the foam to break down.

I don't know the cause but it's a common problem.

No troubles here :p:

.I am burning oil :wink1:
But I have heard of people with diesels having the same problem
maybe Cegusman

Nope not me. I always had questions for you. But as of yet still havn't even bought a fuel cell.

If you read billavista's fuel cell tech article on pirate. He blames the break down is due to the poor design of the filler neck, and when the flapper was opened during fill up, the sharp end of the excessively long bolt simply gouged the foam.

Hi solution was to notch the foam to avoid the filler

Sorry but I remembered we talked about it
But I am sure someone had troubles with diesel too.
Cannot remember who though.

I have just read that diesel fuel will destroy the foam over a few months. But on the other hand can't find anyone that actually had a problem. All seams to be word of mouth.
