Anyone have any suggestions on what brand, type, size cell to go with. I would love to get one to mount back in the stock location of my 78 K5, but figures its gonna have to go inside. I am looking at replacing my tank so I figured I would see what some of you guys are doing. I need one with the float aswell, I would be lost without a empty guage. Also my Blazer is staying carbed so I dont need a fuel pump in there. Any ideas? pics?

depends on how much you wanna, or are willing to spend...

I know some cars come stock with plastic fuel tanks.

Some Chryslers have them, and I know the Nissan Altimas have them. They would cheaper then an aftermarket fuel cell, and they're lighter then our stock tanks.

I don't know about the shape of the tanks though, that might be a problem...

I was thinking of going that route if I wanted a new fuel tank. Because this way I could go to a NAPA to get a new sender unit, or pump, and not have to order anything... Plus you'll have a functional fuel gauge.

Well I dont wanna spent a small fortune. I figured between 3 and 4 hundred. But now that Clod King mentions it. I know for a saddle tank that is plastic that is free for the taking. I am going have to check it out and see if it fits in anywhere. I would just have to omit the fuel pump.
