So I am fairly certain I am going to use a fuel cell. I want to mount it directly behind the passenger seat in my blazer. I do not care about a sending unit being hooked up to it. I have been looking at summit racing, and am having a really hard time choosing which one to go for, I do not want to spend more than $250, and I want a 32 gal. Can any of you suggest one of them for me? Or tell me any problems that I may run into mounting a fuel cell behind my drivers seat? Thanks ahead of time for the input.

This is a RJS 32 gal plastic cell. The only problem is after a year, the cell started to change shape! Some sides sucked in and some swelled up. It Has not leaked YET but it's starting to look wierd. Fuel Safe makes a sending unit that can be modified to fit this cell, thats what I use. FYI I am running diesel fuel. Sorry for the file names, it's from my work computer. Greg I hope this works.:D

Get a plastic tank in a steel can.

When mounting them.

Support the bottom fully, capture each of the corners fully top to bottom and hold it down with minimum two and preferably three straps over the top.

At the V2R race we just about lost my primary cell due to it blowing the mounting off the car completely and then the secondary cell broke all of the corners out of the steel can. They were not mounted as well as I state above.

RCI and Summit cells are almost the same thing if they aren't exactly the same thing.

to drag this thread up from the nether regions of hell.

probably going to run a cell in the back of my blazer to gain some clearance and try to get weight in front/top of the axle.

anything i should be worried about as far as having the fuel right behind the passenger seat? buddy of mine is showing concern for fumes and what not, but as i'm not running a top i'm not too worried bout it.
