Fuel cell ?

I put a summit fuel cell with foam in my truck. I have had to change the filter once already and it is due again. I figured that the first time was because during installation they had a few straggler pieces no big deal. Now I don't think so. Either the foam is deteriating or there is alot of stragglers. What do you think?

It is my understanding that the foam used in fuel cells is not compatable with pump gas. I think it has to do with the additives that are in pump gas versus race gas. I would pull that foam out of there.

Pull it out...

I've ran my cell with no foam for years with no problems. This isn't the first time I've heard of fuel cell foam clogging stuff up.
