Hi All,

I have a 75 K5 whose gas tank outlet is about 1 & 1/2" in diameter. I have a filler neck from I think an 89 Blazer whose diameter is 1 & 7/8" can anyone tell me what I can do about that?

Can I just put 1&7/8 and crank down on the hose clamp or is there an adapter of some sort that I can get? Or some other custom solution?

The fuel line is $25 a foot so I would like to avoid buying 1 foot of 2 different sizes but at this point I just need it to work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

J

There is a quicky way to make this work.

Go to the parts store and get an exhaust pipe adapter (little short one) that will come close to both hose sizes.

Now get just the right length of each hose and clamp it together.

I won't say its the greatest fix, but it will be fuel tight and get you up and flying.

i was in the same boat as u. i just got a 1.5 dia hose n just crank down on the clamps. gonna use 2 on both ends. not 100% sure how well its gonna work till i put gas in it. should have my tank in tomorrow and gas going in after.

I got it sorted, had to get 2 different size filler hoses and make an adapter out of exhaust tubing, not the best solution but to be honest it works and also looks pretty good.
