Fuel Gauge?

I have a 88 burb and the gauge says 1/4 tank and its empty and when I fill it up it goes way over. Now would this be that sending unit or the gauge its a tbi.Thanks

Well it is a common problem found a place that claims to be able to fix it. Some here have said it is easy fix. However I have yet to see a tech article posted.
