Fuel Guage

99 s-blazer 4 door 4.3 2wd..
sitting at the parking lot of my gf's work tonight i noticed the gas guage swinging like a mofo.. full to 3/4 to 1/4 then to half, it has about a half tank or so in it now.. only does it when sitting still.. any ideas?

replaced the intank sender today, and as i thought, it was almost exactly a half tank off, it read 3/4 with the old unit, and 1/4 with the new one..so anyways..anyone need a sender that works great, just doesnt tell the real level?
