My Suburban started having starving issues a few weeks ago. I assumed I got some bad gas at a different station and put half a tank of super from a trusted station. It seemed to solve the problem until last week. It idled fine and ran OK as long as I let it ease up to speed but got progressively worse so I put a new fuel filter on ( inline clear plastic) which seemed to help for the rest of that day. Next day it did it again. I had to baby it 20 miles home and got a new fuel pump after checking it and watching the fuel stream ebb and surge. I was sure this was the problem and it was dark when I got the pump on so I didn't test drive it. Next morning I headed out for work and it choked at the stop sign. I idled it back home and used my daughters car.....

I just bought an accelerator diaphram for the Holley, which until now worked perfectly, since 7 bucks isn't exactly throwing alot of money at it. But before I'm disappointed again I'm fishing for ideas and advice.
If it turns out to be a clogged fuel line or sending unit sock is it safe to blow the line out with my little compressor? I'd unhook it above the tank ( I can get to the junction from the wheel well) and before the fuel pump so I don't wreck the pump diaphram BUT I'm wondering if blowing INTO tank line would clean the sock or blow it completely off? I'm trying to avoid dropping the tank in front of my townhouse which is deep within homeowner association power trip territory :angry1:
