I have a 69 Blazer with a 402 Big Block...I put a new fuel pump in it....it has a new poly tank that the previous owner put in but never changed out the sending unit....problem is that I am not getting enough fuel to the carb...so now I am gonna put a new sendining unit in and might as well replace the fuel lines....should i go to LMC or just get fuel line from the parts store?

Since Blazers never came factory with a BBC, you might also want to check that the line sizing (stock) will support the fuel flow requirements of your new motor. Even brand new factory lines might be a bit undersized to feed the hungrier motor....

:usaflag:

I've got the inlinetube fuel lines and they work great. The 3/8" line seems to support my 17 psi tbi system with no trouble.

Have you checked the fuel filter?

My problems started when i ran low on gas and it has not held an idle since....I changed the fuel filters but the one right off the carb does not fill upwhen cranking the truck over. Which leads me to think the lines or the pick-up is clogged.

Pulled tank out...fuel pick up was broken at the top weld and the sock was off the bottom feed....So i changed in the new one but I have to wait to put it back in due to some suspension issues I have to address....I may order the new fuel line too while I have the room to work and strike that off the list...

Well it turned out to be the pick-up....when I put it all back together after fixing the suspension issues she started right up....It still doesn't get a great deal of fuel to the filter right before the carb(doesn't fill it up totally) but she idles fine and runs well so i think I will leave well enough alone for now...
