Im going from a K10 with saddles to a K5 tank setup.

Im confused on fuel lines, how many do I need running from motor to tank? Delivery and Return?

Also how would you guys do it? bend lines? This being a custom deal I figured if i got prebent id have to get Burb lines from lmc for it to be long enough. not much use in the current lines I have they only run the length of the cab really...

Number of lines depends how you want to run it. Early would be one line, then two lines (one delivery/one return) then three for the addition of EVAP.

I don't like anything but the three line setup...it's pretty hard, if not impossible, to get the correct vented cap for a one or two line setup anymore, and venting the tank straight to atmosphere from the sender fitting IMO isn't good for condensation let alone potential fire hazard.

The only properly vented early cap I've ever been able to find (in a wrecking yard no less) just failed, luckily the donor truck I picked up is complete with the EVAP system and I won't need it.

Ok...Im also going from 6.2 TD to hot 406 SBC...

Id also like to eliminate the switching valve while Im at it.

Single tank then, correct?

You can buy hand-bendable steel line just about anywhere anymore, as long as you can double flare you can make the stuff yourself pretty easily.

IMO, while it IS optional, you are absolutely insane NOT to run at least a two line system. That keeps/helps keep from having vapor lock. 'nuff said.

The EVAP is completely optional unless you need it for emissions or whatever. If you are comfortable with your tank venting wherever, you can simply put an axle breather on the EVAP line to prevent solids from getting in there.

Yes single tank. looking at a 31 gal K5 Tank in the back between the frame rails. I want to run a two line system, just wasnt really sure whether I needed that third line. There wont be any other emissions junk on my truck so I dont see a big need for it. Prolly run the vent somewhere up out of the way in the sidewall of the box or something then.
