I got a buddy that is converting his TBI setup to a carb setup. The truck is a 1995 GMC Sierra 1500 with a 305 in it. Need to know what the fuel pressure the pump puts out is?

TBI pumps put out around 14PSI. What you have, I believe, is the Vortec Injection system. That's around 40PSI I believe. You'll need a return line style regulator. Holley makes a good one that I use on my Camaro.

Why on earth are you going away from TBI though?

It's not a vortec, it's a standard 305 tbi work truck 4x4. If it were a vortec I wouldn't let him change it. I couldn't tell you why he wants to go away from tbi. To each his own I geuss. If it only puts out 14psi I have an nice billet regulator he can use. Thanks for the info, I thought that was around what the pressure was but was not sure.

A stock TBI fuel pump runs between 9-13 psi so he can still use the stock pump but he will need to run a regulator with a return hose back to the tank.
